Betts Industries marked 125 years in business by inviting the whole community inside. The Warren manufacturer opened its downtown Warren and Starbrick facilities for a community open house, and an estimated 1,000-plus visitors came through for self-guided tours, live demonstrations and a chance to talk with employees about how the company’s tank-truck products are made.

Founded in Warren in 1901, Betts remains family-owned and headquartered in the city, a run that spans four generations. The open house doubled as a reunion: current employees brought their families, community members stopped in, and retirees returned to the floors they once worked, trading stories with the crew there now. Ryan Betts said the turnout exceeded the company’s expectations and called 125 years as a family-owned business a rare milestone the company doesn’t take for granted.

For a region shaped by manufacturing towns like Warren and Jamestown, the anniversary is a reminder of what longevity means locally: steady jobs, generational paychecks and a name that has outlasted nearly everything else on the block.
