(**Breaking)First Measles case more than 30 years confirmed in Chautauqua County...
Chautauqua County is reporting it's first lab-confirmed measles case in more than 30 years.  That from the County Health Department Monday afternoon... which says they are taking "pro-active" steps to respond to the case... reduce the risk of further spread... and, ensure residents have access to the information they need.  Health officials say they are -- "working with the individual and appropriate health care partners to identify people who may have been exposed and provide guidance to those who may be at risk."  They are also working to provide "access to vaccination, education, and treatment recommendations when necessary, while helping ensure individuals and families can access assistance and support as needed."  Officials say more information will be shared if contact tracing identifies any known public exposures.  They remind residents that measles is highly contagious and can spread through the air.  The location of the case has not been made public... but, individuals who may have been exposed should monitor for symptoms... and, contact their health care provider or the Health Department for guidance.  Free MMR vaccination is widely available throughout the county, and at the Health Department.  For more information... call 753-4491... and, a list of clinic sites is available at their website at HealthyCHQ.com. 

City man arrested for alleged domestic incident, stealing victim's car, and fighting with police...
A man from Jamestown faces several charges after allegedly stealing a woman's car following a domestic incident... then getting into a motor vehicle crash, and fighting with police.  City officers say they were called to a northside address shortly after 10 a.m. Sunday for a domestic dispute.  Police say... on arrival... they spoke with the victim... who said that 36-year-old Brantley Churchill had taken her vehicle without her permission.  Officers later found that Churchill was involved in a car crash -- with the vehicle -- and fled the scene.  They determined that Churchill had also violated a full stay-away order of protection.  He was later found a short distance from the original scene... but, while trying to take him into custody... a brief struggle took place.  He was eventually taken into custody and take to the city jail.  However... while at the jail... he damaged the holding area... and, physically attacked some officers.  One was injured.  Churchill faces charges including:  first-degree and second-degree criminal contempt... fourth-degree grand larceny... and, second-degree assault... among others.  He was jailed pending arraignment.

Jamestown man arrested for alleged physical domestic incident...
A man from Jamestown has been arrested for allegedly making physical and verbal threats to another person during a domestic incident last weekend.  City police say they were called to a southside address shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday for a domestic in-progress.  Officers say their investigation found that 29 year-old Zachary Fisher had violated an order of protection by making physical threats and unwanted contact with the other person.  Fisher was arrested for second-degree harassment... and, first-degree criminal contempt.  He was taken to the city jail pending arraignment.

Stateline culminates it's 70th Anniversary Saturday night with proclamations...
The culmination of a year-long 70th anniversary celebration of stock car racing took place last Saturday night at Stateline Speedway in Busti.  Four proclamations and citations were presented to Owners Bill and Lisa Catania... who purchased the track from Jim and Jean Scott last year.  State Senator George Borrello presented his first... and, thanked the Catanias and their employees for keeping the track going for seven generations.  Assemblyman Andrew Molitor joined in thanking the Catanias... and previous owners for keeping the speedway going for seven generations.  County Executive P.J. Wendel has been a fan... and, a crew member for racing friends over the past three decades.  Speedway Co-Owner Bill Catania, Jr. thanked everyone for the recognition... and, acknowledged his relationships with especially Borrello and Wendel.  A representative from local Congressman Nick Langworthy also presented a proclamation to the Catania's for their support... and, continuing the traditions at Stateline Speedway.  Langworthy's father, Ted, raced at Stateline and sponsored several cars through the years.  

Woman from Lakewood arrested for DWAI after being found sleeping behind the wheel at Jamestown Kwik Fill station...
A Lakewood woman has been arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs after she was found asleep at the wheel at a gas station on Jamestown's westside.  City police say they were called to the Kwik Fill station on West Third Street just after 4 a.m. last Wednesday for a person found sleeping inside a car.  Officers say they found 30 year-old Jessie Estus inside... and, determined she was driving while under the influence.  They also allegedly found her in possession of a quantity of pills that were controlled substances.  Estus was charged with DWAI Drugs... and, seventh-degree criminal possession of a
controlled substance.  She was released with an appearance ticket for city court.

City woman arrested during GIVE detail investigation...
A Jamestown woman has been arrested for allegedly being found in possession of a small amount of cocaine during a probation check last Friday night.  City police say they assisted County Probation during a Gun-Involved Violence Enforcement patrol just after 6:30 p.m. on Jamestown's northside.  Officers say they found 48 year-old Mandy Kruise in possession of the narcotic... and, she was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.  Kruise was processed and released with an appearance ticket for city court.
