Merchant says the pandemic prevented them from having groups man the kettles... but, she says they can do that again this year.  She adds they can now have couples, and families man the kettles.  Merchant says the best part of the early campaign is they'll be able to "multiply" donations quickly... as an anonymous donor will match the first $10,000 raised.  She says that means they've raised about $4,600 so far.  In addition to the Red Kettles... resident can also mail a check to the Salvation Army at 83 South Main St. in Jamestown.  In addition... Merchant says you can also text a contribution to "Jamestownkettles" at 51555.  For more information... call the Salvation Army at 664-4108.  Major Merchant made her comments during an interview on our Dennis Webster Show Tuesday morning.
