Nights with Lia (WHUG)

Way back in the late 60's, in a small little Kentucky town, I came screaming into this world. My mom, a Southern Belle housewife, and my dad, a farmer, bar owner, janitor, banjo picker, had finally had enough kids. I was the last of four and, believe me, I think I was the reason they didn't want anymore! I grew up in an even smaller town in Kentucky, with not much to do there but plug my ears while my dad tried to pick his banjo and run through the sprinklers on a hot summer's day. I was Daddy's Little Girl. Even though I hated that banjo, I loved my dad. The hardest thing I ever went through in my life was the death of my dad. That was 1983, when I was only fifteen. Too much for a young girl to take! I left Kentucky, my family, my friends and my life behind and moved hundreds of miles cross-country to be with my oldest sister, Connie (my role model, best friend and confidante), and her husband. I finished school and, purely by accident, I got into Country radio. As far as this show goes, I just want you to know that we all work very hard each night to put this thing together. I'm so lucky to have such a great couple of guys to work with.  Listen to Lia Monday-Saturday from 7p-Midnight on My Country 101.9, WHUG!

Nights with Alice Cooper (WQFX)

Without Alice Cooper, there might never have been the NY Dolls, KISS, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Motley Crue, Slipknot or Rob Zombie … maybe not even David Bowie, or at least not Ziggy Stardust. The iconic hard rocker, who literally invented the concept of the rock concert as theater, returns to what he does best on Along Came a Spider (SPV Records), the 25th studio album of a long and illustrious career which began in 1969 with the release of Pretties for You on Frank Zappa’s Straight label. With his influence on rock & roll long since acknowledged, there is little that Alice Cooper hasn’t achieved in his remarkable career, including platinum albums, sold-out tours and any number of honors and career achievement awards. Listen to Nights with Alice Cooper Monday-Saturday from 7p-Midnight on 103.1, The Fox!
